How many people know that the Fed charges banks NO interest to loan them funds currently? Yet the banks turn around and purchase treasuries that pay 3% interest. How nice the greed never stops. So they get to continue to steal money from the US taxpayer. Anyone know how much 3% of Billions amount to? This is one reason the don't make loans. They are still profiting by doing nothing but continue to steal from the taxpayer with the Federal govrenment's blessing. Do a little research people.

Have had lots of clients who have had their credit card limits slashed and the interest rates drastically increased. This despite not missing payments or bouncing payment checks. Now that person's FICO score is lowered because any balances instantly become a bigger percentage of available credit! Therefore they are unable to refinance that debt and are trapped paying usureous rates.

Pretty neat trick to turn a low yielding loan into a high yielding instrument by destroying your own customer!

I love the comment "consumers need to be protected from...themselves." How true this is. My advice- don't get into debt, stop using credit cards so much, save more money, and quit buying tons of crap you don't need. There- I just saved you thousands of dollars on 'expert' financial advice from a professional. It's just common sense.
