That's right...American...An American company is a rare thing nowadays, so SUPPORT IT...They have had to CHANGE, like OUR gov't NEEDED TO, so the standards are HIGHER cause they are under a microscope and have ALL you SAVVY, WELL-OFF BUSINESSMEN telling them what they should be doing...You Toyota people are funny as they just recalled over 10 million vehicles for exactly the same reason GM fell, couldn't keep QUALITY on a LARGE SCALE...Funny, Bush pushed OIL, another reason electrics got put on the back burner...His bro is involved with China's Oil Ministry...Most do realize that corps run this country more than WE THE PEOPLE DO, cause instead of raising hell, most made Toyota(a Japanese company) #1...Bravo...

"Government Motors" is no longer on life support-- IT IS DEAD!

It is being maintained in a coma state at U.S. Taxpayers expense. Obama is going to take care of his "Bro's." in Detroit, on the backs of hard working American's. This accounts for Social Security receipients not receiving a COLA raise for the last two years. Obama is robbing the retired people that built this country to take care of his voter base.

I would not take anything from G.M. if they gave it to me for free! They have never been able to produce anything but junk. Now we are suppose to believe they are concerned about long term reliability? Yeah, right!! I'll keep my Toyota's thank you!

If you believe this article you probably believe in Santa Clause also!

If the Volt is so good, Why does it have to be subsidized at $7500 a copy?

DEETOO of SC.... Great feedback. American People indeed are the most Myopic Lot.

Sitting Here in India let me just tell you, this is the best constructive thing any US governement has done in last so many years.

Congrats to Obama and Congrats to GM guys to start trying to stand on your feet again.

Very good unbiased Article.

GM is far from perfect- quality and product offerings need to keep geting better. But it's a good start.

I am glad the government intervened. We have many times before, (NYC, CHrysler, airlines)so why is this case different? I have no idea. People are just lashing out because they have to live on their real salaries instead of their salary plus all the borrowing. Apparently it's not enough and they want to vent.

Glad your article was rational, and not so negative. Sounds like a business analysis instead of a political rant. Congrats on that Rick! It's rare these days.
