How Obama Blew Stimulus II

I think the right person for the job is in the position, but as you can see, it is going to take more than 2 years to get back on track from this recession. I still here on the news that the recession is over, or you kidding me. Groceries are gone up, every utility in the state has gone up, Infrastructure, now that would be good if the parts of the city streets would be fixed, that has been messed up every since I was a kid and I 49 now. So just every body has an opinion but can some one be part of the solution and not the problem. You talking about what Obama's not doing is not going to make it any better, if we all get together and help build this country back up, just maybe, than you will see change.

One could expect a Harvard graduate to quickly grasp the difference between

theory and its translation into social, political, and economic reality.

This level of "inexperience" is expected and forgiven with a mid level 40 year old in

large scale organizations where checks andreviews to balance "hope","theory"

with the reality of experience.

Grandfather cautioned me several times, "never send a boy to do a mans job"

My contribution to his campaign based on his theme of "HOPE" seemed appropriate

and timely!

Now I "hope" the nation survives the next 2 years of theoretical, experimental,

leadership.

What about all the anecdotal reports of roads getting repaved that were still in good shape? Government spending on infrastructure is not necessarily a good thing, especially if it gets wasted on "work for the sake of work" projects. Will US News ever investigate the percentage of infrastructure spending that is wasted on unecessary projects?

Infrastructure repair should have been the biggest, first, and foremost stimulus from the start (even though I believe in the free market approach to economic stimulus in general). Loaning money to Blue Chips firms does not create long-lasting jobs, and neither do one-time rebates for cars and homes. Work projects that can be bid on by companies actually have a chance to create concrete assets and jobs to accomplish them. This is where I thought the bulk of the money would go when "Federal Stimulus" was first being bantered about! Unfortunately, by now, Obama has spent most of our financial capital and his political capital on worthless projects. I am concerned that the new infrastructure initially proposed and which we need so desperately will never see the light of day.

Infrastructure spending should have been thought of during his first year in office. He would havehad a much better chance. Now who knws what's going to happen if the Republicans win even the House. Even Social Security and Medicare are in danger of going down the toilet. I have very little faith in a lot of the Domocrats, but if Boehner and McConnell win, you'll see the clock turn back to the 1890s. That's what Obama should use as his argument.

It would be nice if the President would explain using high school level English and mathematics how the infrastructure spending helps the economy and increases employment beyond just those working on the projects.

Politicians should be required to explain how all their major legislation does what they promise.

Hell no, he doesn't care.

He doesn't get it.

He does believe people are stupid.

He believes that people will be stupid enough to buy Stimulus II after they bought the FAILED Stimulus I that put the economy further into the ditch and grew government larger with even more greedy public service employee union members.

Believing in Obama will result in Grecian formula bankrupcy!

Let the Republicans drive the car into the ditch. That is better than letting the Democrats drive it over a cliff.

Get it?

"Obama's proposals are not bad ideas." Close to a contradiction in terms.
