What to do when many times an innocent, good-natured employee who always tries has to bear an immediate boss who is the raging egomaniac described above as well as at the very worst is the following: negatively gossipy (which definetely destroys trust and morale--DUH!), is totally unethical with hypocrisy, lies, breaks promises and is totally sickly negative and always fault finding and is not grateful for anything positive clearly, has offensive body language and at worst bullies in any way AND SADLY AND UNJUSTLY this boss is not fired nor can the innocent, good-intentioned underling is not able to transfer to another department right away which has a manager who is different, sane and decent and able to function with and not impossible??????????????????????????????????????????????????

I SWEAR TO GOD THE UNBEARABLE AND UNACCEPTABLE BOSS DESCRIBED ABOVE IS THE CLEAR BIGGEST NO-NO AND IT IS JUST SICK SEEING ONE LIKE THIS AS AN ADULT!!!!!! WHY CAN't THERE BE A LAW TO GET RID OF or NOT EVEN HIRE THESE UNACCEPTABLE TYPE OF WORKERS IN ANY WORKPLACE AND CLEARLY THROW THEM OUT Despite Getting Results BC Of the Unacceptable Behavior Tarnishing Credibility, Trust and Even The Company's Bottom Line and Image? Why isn't treated as common sense to throw out any worker who is a perpetrator boss even if he/she treats a subordinate one badly or unfairly? Shouldn't throwing out a perpetrator who acted out w/ one person very badly currently align well w/ company policies?

The most important question is what are the best career options for innocent employees and even managers to avoid being stuck under someone in power who is the clearly the worst described above, impossible or dysfunctional from being outright decent and nasty too much which is too unbearable and unethical?

-Are there companies where employees are all self-managed w/ full autonomy?

-Plus, are there any services that match a future employee with a compatible boss he/she can work well with for best advancement as there are services where people are matched with companies more so than direct bosses?

-Can one be an independent contractor or freelancer forever to avoid the worst, unacceptable direct bosses ( if they are described like above) and live sanely for best performance and success?

Please help me with best feedback as I am best concerned for society's well-being and my own and want to continue having good bosses, coworkers and even many clients from the past or be autonomous and succeed well!

I disagree with the idea of grinning and bearing it while working under a bad boss. Studies show that stress literally and physically kills; and bad bosses are the number stress factors in many lives. Therefore a wise employee is already tough enough to handle whatever comes his way and has already gauged a tactical strategy for dealing with difficult people. It's the wise employees who are leaving companies with bad bosses for better employment prospects which value their contributions. American companies need to restructure the working environment which places less tolerance on workplace bullies and "office politics" and more on achieving better productivity levels through creative management.
