The first US stealth fighters official designation (F-117) gives away it's age.

The US DoD revamped it's numbering system around 1963 or so.

That means that the stealth fighter program was far enough along by then to get an actual number under that old system.

I can tell yuou folks who the greatest threat to American exceptionalism is folks. Leaders like nobama. Any person who completely stops ALL DRILLING OFF BOTH OUR COASTS,

won't issue Shell a permit to start pumping 28 BILLION BARRELS OF CRUDE OFF ALASKA'S COAST, WHICH THEY PAID $2.2 BILLION FOR THE LEASES, HAS IT SIGHTS SET ON THE DESTRUCTION OF THE USA. It appears he plans to drive us off oil by making it so expensive the common man has to ride a bycicle to get to work. If I were a Brazilian, I'd object to this clown visiting my contry. He is signing loans so the Brazilians can drill, drill, drill, but in the next breathe, saying it's too dangerous and STUPID TO DRILL HERE, I'd feel like an ignorant ASS. You folks risk your coasts, but we aren't taking any chances there could be a spill. You dumb asses drill, risk Ur beaches, you Dumb Asses, WE WON'T ALLOW IT HERE !!!!!!!

Our (USA) stealth technology is much older than 30yrs. Remember Harry Truman had a stealth fighter strafe the Capital building to stress a point to congress in the early 50s. God only knows what technology our military has that might never need to see the light of day. And the capacity for China to continue its current growth is still to be seen. If China cannot keep growth rate providing their population with jobs, all bets are off.

i heard that recently, the money that BP is giving out to clean the oil spill is being used on SUV's and ipads. Not to clean up any oil. If we keep this up, then maybe we don't deserve to be #1 anymore. At least China has the sense to have better priorities. Although I don't agree with how they raise their children.

Boy, does that last paragraph resonate with my experience. It needs to only have minor rephrasing to describe the situation of indigenous people living in Canada!

I believe that what this world needs in order to get along and not fight constantly about money, is to find a common purpose to mans-kind dilemma. Our resources are running out faster than you think, and population is growing larger every year just like a virus. I believe that it can be done, but we must learn to grow up and not act like selfish children. I hope that by now with what happened to Japan, we would start to realized that no matter what we do on this planet, we do not control it. So soon or later we will pay the price for our negligence.

I cant see how an experienced commentator as you would consider that, the US, losing its manufacturing jobs to China is not a big deal. This loss of GOOD jobs, will do great harm to the standard of living in the US, in the next decade. We can see the problem in Mexico now, the US factories have closed, and they have all moved to China, so people have turned to crime. Your statement about lets get to work and 'be innovative', is a joke. The days of a young entrepreneur, starting a manufacturing business in the US, are basically over.

CHINA'S BUBBLE IS ONLY BECAUSE OF WESTERN WORLD'S BIG TIME CHEAP BUYING MINDS!

FACTORIES MOVED FROM AMERICA AND THE MANY COUNTRIES TO ERECT FACTORIES IN CHINA TO GET CHEAPEST LABORS AND EXPORT BACK TO HOME COUNTRIES THOSE PRODUCTS TO SELL AT ROCK BOTTOM PRICES, NEVER MIND

THE QUALITIES.

THUS GIVING CHINA ALL JOBS THEY BADLY NEEDED TO KEEP THEM FROM HUNGER, AND THE SAME TIME WESTERNERS STARTED LOSING JOBS FOR FACTORY CLOSINGS, ONE AFTER ANOTHER.

IF WE IN WESTERN COUNTRIES THINK THIS FOR A MOMENT, AND START BEING

PRACTICAL, AND STOP THOSE IMPORTING CHEAP PRODUCTS AND GO FOR MUCH

BETTER HOME MADE PRODUCTS, AND HELP THOSE DYING FACTORIES TO REALIZE AND UNDERSTAND THEIR GRAVE MISTAKES AND TO START PRODUCTIONS AGAIN, AND CREATE JOBS TO FLOURISH OUR OWN COUNTRY,

THEN THIS CHINA'S BUBBLED IMAGE WILL IMPLODE WITHIN MONTHS.

CAN'T OUR GOVERNMENT IMPLEMENT SOME STRICT RESTRICTIONS TO THOSE NON-PATRIOTIC MONEY HUNGRY PRINCIPALS OF THOSE COMPANIES BY IMPOSING SPECIAL PENALTIES FOR THEIR GREEDY NATURED ACTIVITIES BY

RESTRICTING THOSE PRODUCTS FOR EASY IMPORTS?
