Dear American Friends

After almost every 100 years three is a new superpower in the world look back to the world history. So my dear American friends your beloved country is almost near to complete its tenure to dominant the world and you should have to wait for a new one which lead the world which may be China or any other.

It is clear according to the recent economic figures or which have been articulated in the above said article that Chinese economy is going better than American economy. So don't indulge in the irrelevant debate of Copy-paste, today or day-after-today the skill of copy-paste technology will be legal not illegal. Like dropping or using the lethal weapon was perceived as immoral and illegal actions (because there were numerous treaties, laws and conventions to stop the use of such kind of weapons) but what happened, nothing anything! You country used the prohibited weapons indiscriminately on third world countries and killed millions of innocent people in the world such as in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and now killing innocent people in Pakistan with drone technology.

Therefore, when America was World centric Like Woodrow Wilson and you were respectable, but when Roosevelt and Eisenhower adopted American self centric approach to the world affairs, since than people not only dislike you but also hate the name of your country. So you don’t have to be worried about outsiders which you called they are your enemies, such as, after world war II you thought that Communist Russia was your enemy, After cold war you thought that Taliban and Al-Qaida are your enemy, and now you sounds that China is your enemy. But we think there no any outsider enemy but your enemies are within your country.

Therefore, the theory of “end of time” is not end of the earth but it is the end of the American Imperialism.

Remember mediorce chinese product, pirate CDs, contminated milk, incincere and mischivous business practice?...so and so. I don't want the communist country dominat the Asia or the world. it's just ridiculous to have one, and i'm not, probably some other nations in Asia too, yet ready to get this ugly big boss.

Spent months there...Wow...

@Amicus, As an American who has lived here for years, I think some of your views are close but many really miss the mark.

Since when is increase of wages, especially for the poor a bad thing? Also, the fact that the demand for workers exceeding the amount of workers available would equal greater pay and benefits.

The thesis buying is quickly becoming a thing of the past with strides being made toward anti corruption, Recognition of this by the central government is a big step but these things take time. As a teacher I know that there are no harder working students anywhere and mandated free education for ALL children through basic high school, many more are getting the opportunities that did not exist only a few years ago.

These thousands of highrise shells are almost all sold before they come out of the ground and the chances of a collpse like ours is small because they all must put 1/3 down and the average home loan is paid off in 7 to 10 years. More and more young people coming out of University already own a home due to the saving habits and family bonds of their parents. If you asked any Chinese person if their life is better than their parent's life or if it has improved in the last 10 or 5 years, or even the last year they would ALL say that it has.

China is going to have a growing class of intellectuals. In order to have new ideas, you have to have the Expansion of Thought. Freedom of Speech is Inevitable in a Society with Brilliant Minds. China's Leaders can not, and eventually, will not, be able to Control Individuals Thoughts and Ideas. Great Minds are the Free-ist Minds to Think and the Suppression of Thought does not give rise to articles like this one, well articulated, with a healthy crowd of Readers and Commentators.

Remember just a few short years ago, when it was Japan that was going to take over? They were buying signature properties in the USA like they were at a fire sale, only to cash out after the real estate crash of the early 90s for a fraction of what they paid. Although China is now Japan's largest trading partner, like they are ours, there is no reason to fear them. Let them buy what real estate they want, it can't be loaded on a ship and taken overseas. Like Japan, China makes a much better friend than enemy. Those who fear China do not have a solid grasp on the facts.

- Thousands and thousands of high rise shells...everywhere, mid-size cities mostly....almost half of all high rise cranes in China....Real Estate crisis that will make the USA's look small.

-Workers...used to be 10;s of thousands coming from the interior...mostly young girls...they would make $100,00 + or -, per month...work for 2-3 years and return home with a dowry lager than 10 years of peasant toil. Now simple labor, cut and sew, etc. is $200.00 and still raising. 5 years ago a new sewing factory would open foe 600 workers and 2500 would show the first day...now takes months to fill the need.

- unhappy workers, Ill treated...they much prefer to work for foreign owned companies that have some respect for human dignity. No worth given to the individual....just another brick in the wall.

- Innovation, imagination, passion, inventiveness...sorry don't see it...easy to copy.

- ahead of the USA...Won Worlds fastest Super computer!...yes, all 128 tons of it, 100% jammed with American Chips...by the way we produce 97% of the worlds.

- Engineering process? 10 times Americas....many is not most Masters Degree thesis are done by others not the student.

- artificial currency manipulation.....how much longer?

- foreign debt owed to them...check the trade imbalance, equalize it...not only China but globally...and get surprised!

- got it right on Military....their so far behind they think their running first.

- Americans are down due to erosion of the Constitution...first time since the 1790's that most Americans feel the next generation will not prosper as much as them....need change?...you bet. Our enemy is a lot closer to home..try DC.

- Americans are the greatest people the world has fostered...we need to believe in ourselves again....I witnessed Regan reverse the Vietnam War hangover to American Pride and left Communism where it belongs...with those with little backbone.

Could go on and on....keep the faith Patriots....just the first round and we do have staying power!

God Bless America, Her Constitution and all those that believe in Her. You know where the rest can go.

While Americans are supposed to be lazy about higher education we have to look at the cost of going to a college. As they say if it cost a person around ten thousand to fifty thousand each year to go to college. Why try if you cannot earn more than minimum wage labor rates. Get real on what it takes when college football coaches and colleage deans make millions each year, how do parents send their kids to college. Get a sports scholarship and maybe you can afford it. When teachers at colleges get to receive send their children at little or no cost, who do you think pays for their education.

jerry of TX 5:29PM February 12, 2011

I agree with Mr. Newman in that America, as ahuge and only superpower got complacent & encouraged other countries to take over using our own inventions, etc. There's no excuse for laziness...

So forget about blaming or fearing others. We need to look in our own backyard & GET THINGS MOVING! Looks like at the moment, we only have a single wall street controlling the future of this country. That has got to change. People have to start the industrialisation of this country - producing real jobs & real futures! Americans do not know how to sacrifice their hugs gas guzzling SUVs ad enormous energy guzzling mansions.

Lets get off that bandwagon & use our brains and brawn to create something real!! Until that happens, others are going to lead, like it or not!!

Get the youth motivated again....its real time for that!

The managers of all professions in USA make you think they know it all.

It's like half blind man is leading the elephant!!!

They are ignorant of the fact that there are smarter race/people around them.

The union heads, animal right heads, human rights heads, environmental right heads are a bunch of ignorant big heads who are bias in their perception of things. The guidelines generated by these interest groups are eroding US and Canada ability to compete with the rest of the world.
