Truckers to Protest Gas Prices by Causing Commuters to Waste Expensive Gas

To protest gas prices, Truckers and Citizens United will be organizing a convoy of vehicles to make their way through Washington tomorrow, which "could slow traffic in the nation's capital for hours." Their gas protest will cause traffic jams, which will cause cars to idle longer, and will waste the expensive and precious gas that the truckers are protesting. Whose brilliant idea was this?

The reason we didn't have this problem 20 years ago is because government wasmuch smaller then. People do not understand that when a politician promises free health care, etc., someone has to pay. Couple that with all the increased rules and organizations like OSHA and you see the cost of business rise. On top of that our large businesses are taxed at approximately 35% while countries around the world charge at least half as much in taxes. Then we wonder why our corporations are outsorceing jobs overseas.

We don't need any more government programs or entitlements. And we do not need to raise taxes on big business or more will go overseas and more jobs will be lost. One candidate wants to raise taxes on businesses and individuals who make over $250K. That means many independent truckers, who are already hurting from higherfuel prices, will see more money go away from them. It could cause many more to go out of business, raising the freight costs, and ultimately what you and I pay for everything.

A wise individual once said, "There is no such thing as a free lunch." Your free health care and all the other benefits that are being promised in this election will cost EVERYONE except those who are on the public dole.

We cannot afford to keep giving things away to those who will not work. Yet that is what we see coming.

I was in a local grocery store today when I spoke with two elder ladies , both who say all they get is a small social security check...they were trying to buy the cheapest things they could to be able to have food on their table... we too are pinch and doing without basis things we need , including cancellin dr's appointments because of gas prices...yet people with millions are living and doing whatever they choose , the Bible is definitely being fulfilled and ,,even though it may seem the one's causing the problems are getting ahead ... eternity will prove what wealt and greed will do to a person's soul.......

It's about time that the truckers and people are getting together on the situation of gas prices. We wouldn't be in an economical mess like we are if prices would fall back to earth. But I feel we need to include the speculators because its not just the government playing this game of gas prices, we see the price of oil go up and the stocks go down. So what does that tell ya people? The N Y S E is gambling with our economy and our lives!! Someone out there is making huge gains, while people everyday are losing jobs and having trouble with a simple thing like putting food on the table. We never at this problem 20 years ago! why are we having it now, WE had hurricanes then. The media wants us to believe the thats whats causing the problems,But I feel this is world wide boils down to GREED!!!!!!!!YOU GO TRUCKERS!!!!!
