I like using old magazine pages, but not for Christmas.

We have 25 year old wrapping paper, carefully recycled year after year. What memories! Teach your children to carefully open the package, and to carefully wrap packages. My grandmother even avoided scotch tape so as to save as much paper as possible year to year. I have divided the last scraps between my children for their memory books. The first UNICEF papers, peace signs from the sixties, snoopy and big bird papers -- they all tell stories.

Just recycle your paper. It's still eco-friendly.
