Just like they killed the electric car in the 90's and sold the nickel hydride battery patent to an oil company...Texaco -Chevron...GM and Big Oil who own congress will make sure this thing never gets to our shores.

This car will never make it to the US. The "Big Three" will make sure of that. Besides, we had a nice Chevrolet Sprint (Suzuki engine) back in 1987 that got 50-57 mpg with A/C and 4 door. Where's that car now? We can make fuel efficient cars but "big brother" just won't do it.

you could get air conditioning system in the car that is not an issue. Anyways my brother designed the air conditioning duct for the TATA nano car :) ....so it is there I am sure abt it.

I will buy this car if & when it comes to USA ;)

Some try to put it down on safety, Power & size.

Keep in mind how many people ride motorcycles WITHOUT HELMETS,

In a nation that has made the seat belt click it or ticket Law.

I find it very humorous in a sad way.

Lets put on our thinking hats shall we?

Safer than a motorcycle.

Same MPG of a motorcycle.

Motorcycle only has 2 wheels & only 2 people can ride on it.

Motorcycle driving in the rain is very dangerous!

Not to mention the price comparison to other cars it's cheaper than an average motorcycle.

Sound so bad now???

So...what's the problem?

laurie of CA 12:47PM February 24, 2010

I read on other web sites that it may cost around $8,000.USD in U.S. (they said this is the price they are going to be charging in Europe also). But, if they could sell it for $4,000. that would be great! Only thing is, I live 20-30 minutes from the nearest town, so, I don't believe this car is for me. Plus, it gets above 100 degrees

here in the summer, so unless we want to die of a heat stroke, we need air conditioners(I have went without an air conditioner in 100 degree heat...not fun!!) Overall, I believe this is a great car ,for a great price, if you live in a city, and do not have far to go to get to work or the grocery store.

First of it's not $8,000 it's $4,000, and from all the cars you want to compare safety this car to a Yaris? Have you heard about the Toyota problems they got. Go on youtube and search Tata Nano EU crash test, it passed the test, it's safe as any other expensive car if not safer as it does not use a computer for braking!!!. Tata Nano is the future of cars, like it or not. Millions are going to buy and Tata will take Toyota's number place.
