This is one of the reasons why we developed PC Scheduler. With PC SCheduler you can schedule a weeks automatic wake/hibernation time. The computer will go into hibernation after working hours (using just as little power as a shutdown) and wake automatically in the morning. You will save power and do not have to wait for the computer to boot in the morning:

I noticed you mentioned Wake-On-LAN. There's a company that offer remote access + Wake on LAN feature...MyGreenPC (http://www.mygreenpc.com). I've been using their service for over a year now, probably saved $50 between mine two pcs.

Thanks for given useful advices. I will shut down my computer every night to save energy for my country too, hihi. It really doesn't take a long time, you can get it shutdowned while you are brushing your teeth (before you go to bed).
