I'm glad to see that the new administration gets it.... NOT. With the economy and all the other problems this country is having and they want to waste millions on inauguration balls? Same old same old, different day same old s***.

The poor will always be with us. Why don't the so called CHURCHES open their doors and let the poor and homeless have a roof and a meal.

This inauguration is HISTORICAL. If WE have paid the celebrities all of this money for their work in television and the movies, they can spend it as they like. Personally I don't see a problem with it. ITs a once in a lifetime event.

Auto workers make more than teachers.. so I have no pity in my heart for them. They should have been paying attention to the world around them and made concessions. Heck, educators have to go to school constantly to keep on top, why not other professions including blue collar workers.

Obama should sell his nine-million dollar mansion in Hawaii to pay for the inauguration party instead of asking hard working Americans to donate. As for these celebrities, can't you find anything more constructive to do with your money such as hiring layed off workers and help the U.S. economy. FOR REAL, give me a break!

Strange that all those supposedly greedy, wealthy UAW auto workers aren't buying those tickets and reserving those accomodations, isn't it?

They must be too busy stacking up their gold bars in vaults to be bothered by such foolishness?

What kind of access will this get them and what an insult to spend this kind of money while everyday tax payers are losing their homes and jobs.

Great Example for the country.

Our country is drowning in debt and these celebrities have nothing else to do with their money but to donate to Obama. Why don't they donate to the poor starving people in this country instead. The only reason they are doing this is to get more publicity. there all phonies. What a joke.
