wow everyone who is complaining about J. Crew not being affordable needs to learn their stuff....Michelle Obama is a successful, wealthy business woman who COULD easily be wearing outrageously expensive designer labels but she chooses to wear much more modestly priced clothing...AND, she spends absolutely NO public funds on her clothing because she knows it's wrong....(unlike most prior presidents' wives). So get over yourselves, this article is no saying everyone can afford J. Crew, its just saying that alot more people can than can afford Prada.

Affordable? Not only is J Crew style unappealing in a trustafarian sort of way---it is FAR from affordable for most people. I agree---$200 for a sweater!! Since when is that affordable? But then again, why put down a black, America bashing First Lady who has the 2 kids and one dog when you can bash and living daylights out of a Repub woman who has a few more than 2 kids (one with a problem she COULD have aborted like the Liberal Elite would have done).

Doesn't Luxe Life say it all---Luxe--as in Luxury for the rich, intellectual Elite.

I am by no means poor, but $164 is way more than I could ever budget for a sweater. I am not impressed by Mrs. Obama. I am still not convinced that she loves this country or that she is not racist.

Michelle Obama is not the FIRST African American woman to hug the Queen. If you remember when the Queen visited America, she went to visit Anacostia in Washington, DC. On that visit, she went to an African American woman's house and when the woman opened her door, she embraced the Queen. This is what WE do when we meet people. It's how you express you HUMANNESS. From all the comments, I can tell SOME people have a lot to learn about what it means to value people. Michelle Obama, our First Lady, has been properly taught how to value everyone humanness!! Way to go First Lady!!! The Queen is as human as anyone else. She needs a hug too!!

I think Michelle Obama is one of a kind! She has a unique inner beauty that radiates on the outside!!! She is very confident and carries herself very well, and she is also a great dresser! Looks great in everything!

By her showing affection to the Queen, just showed how humble and down to earth she is! She has a great heart and SPEAKS from the heart! This is the type of person that truly appreciates others and respects others. People who speak badly of her are so jealous and need to learn to give respect to the First Lady!!!! That's right!!!!

First Lady Michelle Obama is very comfortable in her role as the First Lady of our country. I am happy that she embraced the Queen. She is certainly not her subject, she is her equal.

The First Lady wears clothes that look good on her. At times, she is casual - gardening; at times, she is elegant - NATO dinner. She chose not to outshine or compete with the queen by wearing a simple, yet classic combination. She has flair and originality. She is herself and looks great. A wonderful role model for all those young girls who think they have to look like someone else. Michelle teaches by example to be proud of your own self and find your own look. Kudos to her.

The First Lady is someone all women in all walks of life all across the globe can relate to. Note the use of the word "all", she is indeed every woman. There is a feeling of familiarity when watching the First Lady and definitely pride. She is helping to redefine our national image to the world, and that is a welcomed change.

Luxe Life

Luxury is no longer the sole province of the elite. Upscale goods and services now target a much broader market. Kimberly Castro, deputy business editor of U.S.News & World Report, takes a look at the luxe life, from fine wines and cars to high-end real estate and wealth management. Though no elitist, Kim does admit a fondness for a bold bottle of Scout's Honor from Venge Vineyards and satiating her wanderlust in Europe.
