Rinse a clean wash cloth (no fabric softener) in very hot water, and wash the mirror. Dry with another cloth. Even steam won't stick to mirror.

If you got really hard marks on your walls and nothing works, try a magic Eraser by Mr. Clean. This bad boy will clean up anything on your wall. Its a little more expensive but if you are in a rush and dont want to get cleaners on you. This is life saver for you. I have a 2 year old and she loves writing on the wall when I am rushing out the door to go to work.

Thanks! I used these after getting mud tracked all over my apartment. I usually use a carpet cleaner - http://www.hartscarpetcleaning.com - but like to know these insider tips as well.

I've also found that baking soda and vinegar works really well for red wine stains. The only drawback is that it smells a bit funny for awhile.

I used to work in a fabricating shop. We used oil in a lot of the machines.

Lestoil will remove it easily even after it has been washed and dried. Just pour some over the stain, let sit for an hour or so, then wash.

I haven't found an oil that it doesn't work on.

I was part of a ride-along program with the local Ambulance Company and we used peroxide to get blood out of our clothes. It works fantastic! Of course, it works best if used PRIOR to washing the clothes. It's cheap and easy. Pour it on the blood spot(s) right from the bottle. It will bubble just like on a cut/wound. You might need to scrub it a bit, especially if the blood is dry, but you should get good, if not great results; we always did! :0)

Remember, drying in a dryer sets stains, so if you can't get to it right away, let it air dry w/o heat. Or...if after laundering you noticed the blood didn't come out, don't throw it in the dryer. Treat the stain and re-launder.
