it's not about what you want, it's about what you can afford.

oh yes, you can afford to live without it.

remember quality time with family and friends, come first.

It's true, B of A does not have the Bi-Weekly option, so I went to the Amortization schedule and looked up how much I would need to add to the principle monthly in order to pay the loan off quicker. Depending on how much extra I have to spare that month, I add it to the principle. It will take some discipline, but I want to retire early (after my house is paid off)!

you have to set up the Bi-Monthly payment optin with your mortgage holder- you can not just pay half your mortgage at the beginning of the month and the second half on the 15th- it isn't that easy. Many of these institutions will also charge you an upfront fee to set up your bi-monthly payment. Be aware of these stipulations before u send off half ur mortgage payment this month.

If BOFA won't allow you to make bi weekly payment, just add a little to the principal every month.

Wells Fargo is great and we make bi-weekly payments. It actually shows our mortgage balance decreasing faster as we get quarterly statements vs. monthly.

I think it would be great if Bank of America allow us to make bi-weekly payment. I hate BOA.
