All the folks saying it's too expensive... well... that means that you think dollars are more important that people. I mean, come on... 40,000 people die a year because we are collectively a bunch of cheapskates, not to mention that we are already paying collectively twice what top rated countries are paying. So, while you think we are being cheapskates, we are actually just wasting huge amounts of cash anyway. Why not pay less, cover everybody, get a better result, and pocket the difference? Oh, right, because that would somehow infringe on freedom?

Ha. Yeah, freedom for rich folks investing money in health care to make a buck off the sick and dying.

Profits before people.

Just called Tricare and she said they are a DOD insurance provider and this has not effected them at this time. No one to call to confirm and I was told I could call the president if I wanted to find out when.

The idea is that with more money spent on diagnosing disease early, we can hopefully catch things early enough (such as heart disease) before they become very serious (and expensive).

We'll see how it pans out.

All the benefits highlighted by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act sounds all too great. But these benefits come with a cost. If the law promises all these services at little or no cost, how can we pay all these?
