Nice tips! I read an ebook with alot of money saving tips and more ways to save. Quick read and to the point. It's called "How To Keep More Of Your Money: Easy Ways To Save Thousands" by M.D. Bishop. Saw it on Smashwords. It's a good compliment to this article. Highly recommended!

Everyone has gone wireless,so save around $80 -$100 a month by simply dropping your land line. I did. Needless to say, have a great mobile carrier if you do so. I ended up saving even more,I dropped my contract with Sprint and went with prepaid. Straight Talk is one of the best prepaids in the market now. I did plenty of research and end up saving $70 monthly just by switching. And it's one less bill to worry about,as you get no paper bill and just pay for the month. In all I save about $170 just by dropping my house line and my contract carrier. All I pay now to stay connected with their Unlimited service is $45/month,honestly I have not found anyone else to beat that deal. Now if I could just get my husband to stop smoking!

I really hope know one smokes on this web site but if you do you no what it cost you a week. Multiply that times 52 and you will see. Also it cost the health industry billions a year.I have found something that worked for me as a healthier inexpensive alternative called the E-cigarette.I have to share this with folks that are having a hard time as it was for me find a store on line and try it and not only save money but perhaps your life. I found a momandpopevaporshop.com on line and have not smoked and feel so much better all around Please help your self or some one you love and try it

For the comments below me, pretty sure Straight Talk branches from Tracfone wireless which is the service I am using directly. Holy cow the savings are incredible! Prepaid is taking over the wireless market - and with good reason. The coverage is really great with super clear reception. I'm never that girl walking by screaming "WHAT I CAN'T HEAR YOU" or the other way around. Very pleased with my Tracfone phone and hope others jump on the prepaid bandwagon as well!

Such a great idea, Courtney K, going prepaid is definitely a smart, economical choice. I switched to Straight Talk as well and am saving about $60 extra each month compared to my old contracted phone service. It also comes with nationwide coverage from coast to coast which is especially nice when traveling for business. Another great idea for saving is carpooling. I know that seems like it wouldn't save much, but trust me, it definitely makes a difference. Whether it be catching a ride to class with friends, or taking the bus, try to drive your vehicle less and the gas money each week will go down significantly. Just some tips of my own that I wanted to share since they are working so well for me :)

I put alot of thought and research into this one and finally realized that I have been wasting so much hard-earned money on my cell phone bill. I switched to a prepaid service called Straight Talk two months ago and so far, the savings have been incredible! Just a flat rate of $45 and I get unlimited texting, calling, and webbing. Just what I need with my cell phone. Its important for us to save in the tough state our economy is in and I think to start making changes in common areas like our cell phone is a good way to begin a positive trend of saving money!

I like to barter! It's a good way to save your hard earned money. You only have to give away what you don't need for something special. My favorite website for tradings is http://www.barterquest.com/ because they have a lot of users and it's for free!

Now that you have spent time and money buying for other people in 2010, start saving on the necessities that you must continually purchase in 2011. Although you can buy second hand items like clothing, toys, furniture, household decor, at a flea market, you'll also pay much less than retail for nonperishable grocery items, shampoo, deodorant, socks, school supplies, etc. Yes, I am a flea market owner; but in the 20 years our market has been in business, it often comes down to the money saving possibilities offered in this type of business. Not everyone is aware of the important niche flea markets hold in our society, and you may have one near you that is full of the money saving possibilities. We offer a service for small businesses and budget conscious families. Whether you are looking for garage sale or new items, the fact is that your wallet will be fuller when you walk out of our market than if you bought it retail. Hope you can give us or another flea market a try in 2011. http://wolffs.com/

Saving money is as much mental as it is physical. Cutting coupons, going green, etc., etc., etc., is great advice but will fall short if you don't have the proper mindset for saving. Check out....

to find out what I'm talking about. Once you have established a basis for saving, then it becomes much easier.
