What Home Buyers Really Want

I like your perspective here that buyers are looking beyond the standard MLS home and gently but persuasively changing home trends with their focus on green and outdoor spaces. The interesting question is whether Remodeling Magazine's "Cost vs Value" survey for 2011 will start to integrate these items beyond the standard deck.

Last year's survey (http://www.hometips4women.com/remodeling-trends-focusing-on-lower-costs) introduced an energy efficient steel front door and the year before, a generator was added to the list. I am definitely looking for green (more than windows & siding) to get added to their survey list.

Great article. I think that homes with green fixtures will soon not only be an simply and added amenity for home buyers, but the standard for new construction and renovations. As the editor of RinnaiReviews.com, I've seen an increase of home sellers looking to upgrade their tankless water heaters before moving to attract buyers.
