Pet insurance covers all the costs that you bear for your pet's health. It is designed to ensure that you can cover the medical costs if your beloved pet falls ill, has an accident, is injured or requires emergency medical attention due to whatever reason.

Years ago I had taken in several stray cats. They all needed to be neutered and caught up on all their shots. I purchased pet insurance and was able to get all of their issues taken care of without paying a lot out of pocket. Once I had met my yearly limit I cancelled it as it was no longer necessary. Pet insurance can be worth the money depending on your situation. If you have the extra income to easily make the payments, I say go for it.

I learned that if I spell correctly my words may have more power. If you don't have a plan for your pets health you have failed as a pet owner. Be responsible and buy some form of protection don't gamble with their life.

I personally feel that pet insurance is a rip-off. I had a policy for a year when I realized it's totally not worth it because I had to pay tons for the deductible and a lot of my claims were denied :(. A pity, but I cancelled my policy. Recently I signed up with Pet Assure instead. It discounts all my bills 25%. It's very cheap ($10 a month) and totally paid for itself already.

I learnt from "Penny Health" that Instead, try saying, "There's medically necessary treatment that I'm seeking." Remember, words have power and insurers are all about finding limitations and exclusions if you say the wrong thing.
