Are fees and assessments in the same boat, i.e. my monthly assessment is increasing by $15.00 per month? Plus a 150.00 dollar special assessment.

I have to deal with the HOA and if I would have known what a pain in the ass they are. I would have never bought this townhouse. They are always increaseing fees and to top it off if they need extra money they just charge you more money. like this next month they charged an extra 125.00 plus the regular fee because they have other repairs. that is per unit. it's a joke.

the bildings are rotting down pool empty crak in bottom
trees triming, lawn service sucks pay cheap get cheap service
we don,t have a management anymore can,t afford them
i am waiting for my mtg co to approve mtg modification loan

It's a standard AICPA methodolgy to deal with budgetary fluctuating incomes as we now see with respect to this recession. But, nobody but nobody speaks of this "extra tax" to cover the realities of today's economy.
Nor is there any mention that the HOA is like a privately held small business with limited access to additional funds, except from the owners. And, like a partnership, HOA debts are jointly and severable with those who got the money paying for those who ain't got the money.
