NOT ALL credit unions are willing to work with you in regards to credit cards/your credit history. i have been with Martin Federal Credit Union for over 10 years. Last I checked my credit score was close to 700(not too shabby) and I was denied an application for a credit card!!!

My banks also have most of these qualities. But if Scotiabank starts messing with ING Canada, first place I will go to is a credit union. I have heard only good things about them and would be happy to bank there. (But I must say PC Financial is an absolutely awesome bank as well.)
Is this article meant for ONLY Americans? Then feel free to ignore this Canadian's opinion.
