Instead of saying that we should purchase "Processed American cheese food product" from the dairy section in place of a French Brie, why don't you just tell us a better place to buy the French Brie that we actually want?

Your suggestion is akin to saying "Don't buy beef, when you can get pork for much less." Thanks, that really saved me money on the beef...

Not to mention the price of gas running from store to store!

I just bought a fridge for my mom. We bought an extended warranty because she does not have anyone to take a look if there is a problem, and a single visit could cost more than the warranty. I generally don't buy them myself.

Ok, so then what can you at the grocery ?

This advice doesn't apply when your grocery store is a Walmart Superstore. WallyWorld usually is cheaper than our local Lowe's for hardware and most garden supply needs. It is *always* cheaper than the CVS drugstore for comparable items.

Ira, save this article, and print it out on Payday.

Maybe I'm not very observant, but are "cleansers and scrubs" really that much cheaper at a drugstore than a supermarket? Drugstores are retail businesses, too. And it seems to me that a trip to a separate store might lead me to buy other things I hadn't planned to. Also, my time is worth something, so in that sense I think "convenience" isn't as bad as pieces like this make it out to be.
