How to Decimate Your Credit Score

I actually do have really high credit use that's close to my limit and it destroyed my FICO from 740 down to 650. I pay it off in full every month but because my limit is small (even though it should be a LOT more based on my salary) it's easy to max it.

Simple fix: applied for 2 more cards and it will triple my available credit so I should go down to ~ 20% utilization.

I purposely do one of these things because I don't want good credit....mediocre is fine for me. Who wants the credit of a person who's credit isn't great? They will get more from those who really strive for perfection.

One more thing is that these credit score companies are arbitrary and nonsensical. Who are they? One more small group controlling the masses by fear-mongering.

what about debt settlement, using a reputable lawfirm specializing in this field. It scares me, as they negotiate with the credit card co's who then pull out and a third party (collection group) take over the debt that has been negotiated and I pay them via a trust account, secured. It can take up to 48 months and no credit card is paid off until you have depositied all the debt owing on that card into the trust account. So, your credit shows 90 days past due and the collection company involved.
