I have a friend who goes food shopping once a month. I have tried doing this but end up going to buy more food for the rest of the weeks. What am I doing wrong?

My mother and sister had shopping addictions and their houses were cluttered and they had big credit card bills. I buy only what I need and don't get caught up with what society says we do or have. I will visit an elderly relative or just relax at home before I would go leisure shopping. My house is not cluttered and I don't run up credit bills. It's a shame that our country's economy depends on its citizens over buying and being in debt. People used to always live within their means and I think people were happier then.

Do not grocery shop when you are hungry. You will end up doing a lot of impulse buying.

Why not instead of taking the time to Shop around, Take the time to contribute more to people's lives (and get paid more) so that we can buy what we want, not whether it's a coupon, or 'in' season.

I say lets grow bigger than our problems, rather than let our problems control our lives.
