I just read an article this morning about becoming profitable using a portfolio based on ETFs. It comes from a reputable source, Nasdaq. http://www.nasdaq.com/investing/3-steps-profitable-etf-portfolio.stm

Check out http://www.etfmarketpro.com/VEU-Vanguard-FTSE-All-World-ex-US-ETF.html?searched=veu&highlight=ajaxSearch_highlight+ajaxSearch_highlight1 for a comprehensive look at VEU. The page also gives you a look at other comparable international ETFs. Great post!
