Reagan won his second term as President over Mondale with 525 electoral votes, nearly 200 more than Obama.

In my life time of 45 years of voting, I have never seen a president winning with so many electoral vote. Did He win this 2008 election by more electoral vote than ever in american history? If this is so why don't we hear something about it.I would think this would be historical.
