your right it is sad and I feel if you are investing your money in a bank and you are working with a finicial advisor or Fund manager. They should beheld responsible to advice you to move your money somewhere else when they see it going down. BUT they dont because the truth is there loyality lies with the bank they are working for. not you or I. I also would like to say that people should not put so much faith in these banks.They also should make sure they check over all account statements when they come in because they are very sneaky and alot of these advisors are very uneducated themself.They also make huge errors and when you catch they say "OH Im Sorry. Dont ever except that go into the bank and fight for what is right,,,

It is very sad that these so called "Professional" Money Managers have lost so much of their clients' money. They should never let the funds' drawdowns get as deep as they have been - in many cases more than 50%. Why don't they use common money management techniques, stop losses, etc? What happened to their "Asset Allocation" and "Diversification" that is suppose to minimize their risk? Many of them say as long as they are above their benchmark indices' performance, they are happy. This is why I do not have any money in a mutual fund. No one will take care of your money better than you. People need to become educated and stop relying totally on the fund managers.
