I get so frustrated when an interviewer makes a promise to call me back by a certain day, and it never happens.

TO Kelly of KS - maybe your attitude and how you present yourself is the problem...and it doesn't have anything to do with finding 7 signs to a good interview.

It makes perfect sense. You're just another Bush basher who loves to blame Bush for every woe in your life. Too bad your messiah Obama hasn't done much in his 2 years in office. Take a look around you and see how many college grads are desperate to find jobs, to the point of making lattes at your local Starbucks while waiting for "the job". You asked for change and this is what we get. Can't wait to get this buffoon out of office.

What the heck does Obama have to do with 7 signs that your interview went well? What does Obama care have to do with getting a job? The man has been in offc for 1 1/2 yr, again let me repeat it 1 1/2 yr and he is being blamed for job losses or ppl not getting them? Are you serious? Now you do realize we were already in a depression before a new president entered into office. We had 8yrs of continuous economic destruction and you want to point your finger at a man who is only been there for a short time? You really expected the economy to hit prosperous stage the minute he took oath? Wow that's some faith. I wonder if you would say that if Palin or McCain was in office? Especially if the economic results were the same. Regardless if McCain, Clinton or Huckabee were elected Americans need to give them a chance to cleanup after the damage bush caused.

Thanks to Obama economics and Obama care things are going to continue to get worse. The fact is it does not matter how well you do in an interview. There are many people qualified to fill a single position. According to the latest gallup poll. For every open position, there are five people searching for a job. That probably means there are at least 25 people applying. Chances are you are not the only one out of those 25 who knows how go give a good interview.

I applied for a position that seemed very promising. I first had a phone interview with the Hiring Manager for 1 hour. Then was a invited to an on-site interview which lasted for 1 hour 45 minutes. The Hiring Manager and I made a great connect. I was introduced and also interviewed by someone else I would be working with. I had all the signs of a good interview and was also asked my available date to start and also was given a definite date by when I should hear back. Bottom line, I heard back within 3 days with a decision we decided to go with another candidate only because she had more experience. Bottomline, I really aced the interview and it was an experience/entry level position. It all depends on the market. Right now is very competitive and Experienced professionals are taking pay cuts.
