Spent months training the new manager. Then I was excluded from projects and meetings. I was told "less is more.". Had 11 years in the dept and 27 years with the company. The retirement isn't enough and finding work has been so difficult.

I could write a book on this mess. Disgusted.

I have learned in my opinion:

most front desk / admin assistant jobs are filled by women. Under 30

age discrimination is rampant

don't ever wear your Diabetic bracelet. Get a necklace to go under your shirt.

Try to find some way to be self employed.

Never mention the number of years about anything on your resume.

Be proud of your life success and military service.

Hire a vet. Hire this one.

I've experienced 3 out of the 5 but she just decided to go from salary to commission only for now until January. I guess its better than the altertantive
