The most important tip is tip #1. Amazingly, sometimes people don't do everything they can to prevent a crisis from happening.

That being said, crises do happen -- and I think it's important to handle it calmly and gracefully. Easier said than done, but anything you can do to manage stress and fatigue -- you'll be able to make better, clearer decisions.
