Since when is the scale the scariest thing in the doctor's office? The scale isn't scarier than a needle. It might not even be scarier than the doctor depending on who you have.

Unfortunately, most of these things are actual realities some time or other, and many of them are nothing but blood-pressure-raising distractions from real work progress and real life.

The things that SHOULD keep us up at night are 1) Whether the business I'm in (or working for) is ethical and sustainable, 2) Whether I am doing the substance of my job really well or not, and 3) Whether it is possible for me to please my boss, coworkers, family and self all at the same time in this place.
