10 Observations on Time Usage

Multi-tasking" is unfortunately a word invented mostly just to beat lower-level employees over the head. If you can't make coffee, entertain visitors in the lobby, cover four phone calls ringing at once, enter data, answer the boss's dumb questions, order supplies, and run an errand---all at the same time, something is wrong with YOU.

Meanwhile, the boss will be receiving advice (such as this) from a consultant to not attempt multi-tasking himself---since it's unlikely he will be any good at it.

Just read the ads these days for job openings that have the word "multi-tasking" included. Then take note of what level job it is that's being advertised.
