Dreaming on Hold? Why It's Time to Start it Up Again

Somehow your posts just seem to hit me at the right time, Curt.

Yes, I did put a dream on hold, complete with that cheesy elevator music playing in the background.

But just one week ago, I decided that enough was enough. (Could also be that I had resubscribed to Writer's Digest and had just gotten my first issue.)

We have been working like crazy to keep our business top-of-mind with clients and prospects as this economy starts to turn around. But I put my novel away, I mean completely away, for a year.

I just pulled it back out and am devoting at least one hour a day to my "dream." (I was half-way finished with the rough draft.) I'm also looking into online critique groups and perhaps another Gotham Writers class to workshop it.

What an amazing feeling of joy I'm experiencing. I say, never give up your dream!

Excellent! Love to hear that, Judy. And kudos for taking it a step beyond "I'm going to do it" to "I'm creating a space (i.e., at least one hour a day) to do it." That can make a huge difference.
