5 Lessons From Brett Favre

Career counselors have been saying for years - do what you love & love what you do. Farve loves what he does for work and it shows. Even better - he may inspire others to also do what they love.

I was fortunate enough to have my dad instill that in me at an early age - I have always worked jobs that I enjoyed. If I start dreading Monday mornings, then I know it's time for me to change jobs. I will never be rich, but I have never starved either.

I have tried to imagine what that would be like if that was the norm in our society. Just think of all the people you interact with every day - what would it be like if they actually liked their job as much as Favre?

Note to JC - you said "Favre is a low scum classless person" - I'd love to have some sort of source on that...I have never read anything in the news about him like there always is about many other players. When you say that, I think of Vick, Merriman, Naposki, etc

I have been a Packer fan all my life - if he wants to play, let him. Don't watch, don't listen, just get on with you

I have been a Packer fan all my life - if he wants to play, let him. Don't watch, don't listen, just get on with your lives. No one is forcing you have anything to do with him or the Vikings - grow up! He was kicked to the curb by that moron Thompson and, I hope he does go to the Super Bowl. Only when those three stooges up in the Executive Office are tossed out of town, will I be back on the Packer bandwagon.

Packer Fans - let it go! And, I hope you all have some class left when he comes to Lambeau on November 1st - he was the face of the Packers for 16 years and brought a lot of revenue to Green Bay and Wisconsin. You'll never see that happen with Rodgers, just doesn't have the charisma and that passion that Brett brings to game.

And, believe you me, that are plenty of Favre/Packer fans out there - don't think there aren't!

may be good for completing a particular pass in the last two seconds. But the best reason for relying on older workers (plural, not just one star) at a company is to avoid being in the two-second clock clinch in the first place. So this story sorta translates to the intended "moral" and sorta doesn't.

Every comment you made is WRONG!

1. Favre is not in it for the money. He re-negotiated his contract numerous time to bring in talent for the Packers.

2. Payback is only a secondary reason. He wants to win another Super Bowl.

3. Favre has more game winning drives than any active player. he has only had 1 loosing season. When you are leading in the forth Q and win the game it not considered a winning drive. How many wins he has speaks volumes for the player he is.

Nothing like kissing up to Favre. Favre is a low scum classless person. Wow, just because he throws 1 game winning touchdown, big deal. If he chucks the ball down the field enough times, eventually someone is going to catch it.

He is only playing for the Vikings because he is in it for his "payback". Thats just the kinda guy he is, wanting to get payback for something he brought on himself.

Favre is also not known for game winning drives. I speak as a Packer fan so I know what I'm talking about. Yeah I think they said something about him having 40 in his career.... well, that come to about 2 per year. I don't call that impressive. Usually he throws his typical intereption in that situation.
