Great article!! Gratitude is very important and often forgotten. We practice this at my workplace, but one can always use reminders and new tips.

Too many people I can not emphasize it enough TOOOOO many people are more into the competition, stepping on and attacking someone else, that they do not bother to even realize that people have feelings, and that people are human beings just like they are. Whether its in the workplace or out of the workplace, nor matter who what where or when, saying "thank you" goes a long way. Being kind and grateful should be at the very top of everyone's list for starting off the day. Take a chill pill people, relax, smile, be happy for just having life and when you see somebody next to you who's not so happy, pass it on and tell them "hey man, it's ok". That's all.
