This is probably the easiest way to set yourself apart from the crowd. It's just the right thing to do, but sadly, as mentioned here, very few actually do it. Many have good intentions, but "life" gets in the way.

Keep voting for true liberals. America either will raise its high-end income taxes (including especially capital gains) to balance its budget and stop the erosion of the middle class,... or America, its dollar, its world credit (and possibly your job) will be in steep decline. Maybe faster than anyone thinks. Yes, I know this runs counter to most of the economic babble you hear. That's why it happens to be true.

Yes to every point!

As a way to extend your ninth resolution of writing down your goals, I would say that it also helps to chart your progress along the way. Just visually seeing the intermediary steps get checked off and getting that much closer to the larger goals is very motivational!
