I agree with you, I have been unemployed for 3 years and ended up taking a job making 1/2 of what I was making with no benefits in a small company whose owners are cheap. How do I love this job? I am still looking but it's tough out there!

Completely agree. I recently wrote a blog post that reinforces the idea that you need to love the job you're in AND excel at it because the people who will refer you to your next job are your colleagues now. I've said for a long time that there's no such thing as the perfect job. There are trade-offs in virtually every situation.

That being said, some jobs are certainly better and more fulfilling than others. The key is to understand what you really want and need. And even if you find a great situation, it can all change in a heartbeat, like when your great boss resigns.

It's easy to say, but try to focus on the good parts of a job, and amplify them.
