Karen,

Your series of articles have been very helpful to me. This article is very insightful and has encouraged me to try to set up phone interviews first and THEN set up the next interview. Also, I love the idea about hanging a mirror in the room if necessary. Thank your for taking the time to share! :-)

Dearest Lightspeed,

I can't tell you how much I appreciate the sentiment, but I must respectfully decline your generous offer, as I consider my schplitt to be my most valuable asset. Should I encounter others who are in need of your services, I shall be sure to send them your way.

Yours, etc.,

Maybe the internal system flush job would get the BS out of him because his nonsense posting tells just how full of schplitt he really is.

As to the author's intellectual efforts, kudos, even if these really are "no-brainer" items that commonsense folks should already know anyway. There are still some out there that don't yet know the fundamentals of interview etiquette.

Near the beginning of the interview, be sure to ask them why they think they have what it takes to employ you. This is crucial: you don't want a bunch of wusses who can't handle what you've got going on.

It is also important to work in the phrase, "stick it to the Man," and a similar idea should be included in your resume, under either Objectives or Accomplishments, so, if you're patient and persistent, you can be sure to eventually be matched with a fulfilling job that's right for you.
