I saw an ad for a job at a biotech company where the employer wanted you to MAIL in your resume. There was no email address or website given, just a PO box snail mail address. Why would he do that?

In the olden days where snail mail was the only option, I had received one or two Resumes in 'old color' that stood out from 1000s of white Resumes.

I read a piece in the Economist stating that the average posting on Monster.com gets 1,000 email replies.

My thinking is that HR and hiring managers are inundated with emailed applications. At least if I mail it someone actually has to touch it, handle it, maybe even read it.
