Great point, Karen. The more you can do to plan for the transition, the fewer unnecessary and avoidable bumps and bruises you'll feel along the way.

It really is important not to make a decision when you are angry, sad or too frustrated...that can compound the problem, too. Equally important is to make sure you have a cushion before truly deciding to quit...nothing worse than quitting a job then finding all the bills piling up while looking for your next job.
