All good stuff. May I add the myth that your boss will treat you right when you get that job? I suggest researching your company before you apply at http://www.cubecheck.com

Green-ify your job search

We believe every job confronts sustainability issues. If you look closely at green job sites, you'll find that these are traditional jobs with a new world view. That's because all jobs will require a green-ified outlook. Whether you’re an operations executive, accountant, marketing guru or receptionist, you need to be well-versed in a new language: eco-literacy.

Understanding the intersections of the systems at work—natural systems, social systems, and business systems—is going to be critical to every aspect of how we live and work—and not just for green jobs but for all jobs.

I agree with your myths but I would add another myth that you need don't need to show your true colors, and who you really are to employers.

Employers who are of a younger generation, want to see that you can innovate and have integrity. Talking about your volunteer opportunities and what your interests do can indicate where you stand as a viable active employee that will be happy to come to work and contribute rather than a lemming and can work in a team effectively and efficiently. The world is getting more and more interconnected and this next generation of the workforce knows what it will take to compete globally.

Just my two cents!
