When You Need Time to Consider a Job Offer

i went through this with chase, i was honest and told
them there was another offer. the recruiter became audibly petty and arbitrarily insisted i respond in 24 hours without telling me why.so my honesty was rewarded with a lie. having been job hunting for 8mo, I shouldve known better than to tell a recruiter the truth. these women have lied to me more than all my ex gfs combined! now unfortunately for this chaser, i have no choice but to call her back and lie to her... nice work genius. if u are job hunting and reading this remember; honesty is the wost policy and they are not better than you so relax.

This scenario played out with me today. I felt I could not delay answering the offer any longer so gave them the honest truth that i had a 3rd interview scheduled next week and felt I needed to see it thorugh. I expressed how great an opportuniy this offer was and that my desire to go through with the next interview with another job was not indicative that I did not believe this was a great fit for both of us.
All the details and reference checks had been conducted in the last few days so nothing else was holding us up.
the result? The company indicated they would be offering the position to the next candidate. So now I must really hope that the other job comes through.
So much for honesty and integrity. 1 piece of advcie I received suggested sign the offer and continue with the interview process at the other company. if the other job was a better opportunity just resign. you have look out for yourself. I guess he was right.
