When You Want to Drop-Kick Your Boss

If you will be in a hostile work environment, causes you stress and health problem leaving the organisation would be the best way to do it.

Think about it, your superior will never be sacked right away unless he is sexually harrassing you. Management will just give him some leadership skills etc. But, between you and your boss, you will end up the agressor at the end.

I've been there. I spoke with my boss' superior in front of HR and I was surprised that instead of hearing me out and sympathised with me I heard him praising him more, to think that all of my colleagues experienced humiliation from our current boss. That only means that it is high time for me to move.

HR works for the management and not for the people. It is the union who takes good care of employees sake more than the HR.

Whether going to a coach, HR or any other, don't be seen as someone who's merely transfering the problem. Try and go prepared with some of your own thoughts or solutions. This encourages the other party to offer assistance and be a positive collaborator.

Going to HR is hardly ever a good idea.

Great article - when I am under stress I move it down the line - and when I listen to "grumbles" without taking time to investigate, I always live to regret my choices.

Almost all staff have valuable assets to offer the company and if I am quick to judge I will always end up needing their assistance in the not to distant future.

We defined "No Complaining" this summer - are you part of the grumbling and thus part of the problem - or are you offering solutions and assisting others do a better job.
