Excellent advice. Ask companies what their goals are for their internship program. Are they really trying to support and grow new talent or do they just want free labor? A great way to dig deeper is to locate past interns and ask them about their experiences. You may locate them via LinkedIn. Their insights may be very telling and will guide you in finding the right opportunity.
