Sometimes it is everything just to make it through the day, but one has to remember to be and remain yourself. Most unhappiness in the workplace comes from the fact that you must "wear many hats". You are a completely different person at work than you are when you are at home. This can and will add stress. Don't ever let anyone change you. Many workplaces thrive on daily interaction, and with growing technology, feelings get hurt. It is super important to remember to just brush it off and be yourself. How many times has someone sent an email to you and you have mis-interpreted the meaning? Make sure that you take a deep breathe and calmly think things through. In the end, if you are that unhappy, start searching for new employment. Revert back to what makes you happy and find a way to earn money doing it.

I'm in a position where management is not fixing the issues that trouble makers cause. It's almost like they don't want to fire the problem because they have no backup. So in a sense, it is a high turnover rate situation. And in my case, I'm going to either quit prematurely (before finding a backup job) or get fired. Being the person that I am, neither one is a good look. I have an associates degree and that still isn't getting me anywhere because my work history is nothing but entry level jobs. Businesses want new people, but they don't give anyone a chance to show what they have to offer. I'm STUCK!

I think many people just feel traped in there jobs and try to just Deal with being unhappy. I for one work at a job I detest and loath but my options are not limitless and im not willing to take a pay cut so I dont leave. Nepitism and favortism rule the day in my work place and no matter what I do im not getting ahead. Everyone always has great ideas for new jobs and ways to improve your life but these articles miss the point. I need to pay the bills and put food on the table and those of us who dont have lots of collage education cant just get everyjob out there. So your options are limited low end manual labor jobs suck and america just needs to understand most are not born to be baseball players are bill gates so deal with it. I have just come to understanding that being misarble at work is part of life. Sounds kinda sad but I think a lot of people feel like me.

Life is too short to put up with any misery. We are all smart or we wouldn't have a job, so go somewhere where your efforts are appreciated.

If it is what you are doing that stinks. Do something else. It isn't too hard to transition and still keep earning.

Ditch that misery!

Jobs with high turn overs are worthless that is why people quit, there is no other option when management blows, the world is FULL of haters. One hater in EVERY business in this corporate business world. Too much coruption slash favoritism, these managers & owners '' KNOW '' who they are!! Many people in charge really should not take the lead because they are too stuiped to even think for themselves!

It is the same in American Polotics incompetents need to go while the "brains" ( people with more then common sense ) should call the shots. We need a modern day Thomas Paine. We common workers of America need to move on in our lives and find better jobs. To the greedy scrooges in the business world YOUR not doing anything good remaining the status quo. Even one of our founding fathers said if tyraine comes then we need change by war if needed. LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION !!!!

i have been falsely accused by an exemployee who has a history of starting trouble for years its that good ol boy mentality i lost my job in this ignorant city of dahlonega georgia for no reason and no proof at all now no money and no medical coverage for my 3 small children where is the justice?

vernonvennersjr of GA 4:19PM May 14, 2011

I can tell you it's easier said than done on leaving a job, especially if you have a child who is relying on you. I use to love my job, but with the endless work hours, and severely understaffed, and the meticulous work that comes with my job it has worn me down to the point where I'm no longer happy doing my job. But I still go to work, and deal with it, because of my daughter. And it is hard to find another job that pays what I earn, and the medical benefits. So, I suck it up everyday I go to work, and pray that this day will be better than the last, for the sake of making sure that I am able to provide a home, food, and the necessities that come with raising a child.

Hate your job quit it. There's a reason you hate it. Maybe it's like working for walmart, really low pay, sweat shop style work, no real opportunities for advancement and the worst benefits you can imagine.(Lol now to wait for the brainwashed walmarters to say I an 90% of it's employee's are wrong.) So idea is, go find a new job on your day(s) off and GTFO!

i really dont know what its like to be jobless, but i have been, several times for no longer than six months, and it was not the best of times, how much tv can you watch? all the good programs come on when you need to rest you can record but lets be realistict, when we have jobs theres always something thats gonna be wrong, murphys law,now in these days of downsizing jobs are no longer abundant, you need to analyze whats more important?you being flexible & resilient or you be on the street?i need my health insurance, dental, but most of all my paycheck to keep me inside of my house,i dont have to take my ugly boss,my stupid co-workers or anyone i dont care for home with me,i have 2 jobs and i love it because i get to be an actor when i get to my job besides doing what i do,you get me!!! less stress to make a game of it and i go home happy, most of the time anyway.
