I agree, QR codes are a great way to promote yourself! A great service that lets you build QR codes that are attached to a mobile-optimized website is http://www.localplugs.com. I use them for all my mobile QR campaigns, and for a personal resume site it's only $7/mo. You can use Localplugs to host your mobile resume site or personal contact/business card site. I highly recommend!

You do a whole article and never define your premise. Ouch.

Using a QR code on a resume or business card is a great way to set yourself apart

from others. Including a QR code not only exemplifies the job seekers comfort with

technology, it is a great way to keep your name in front of a hiring manager longer.

Andrew:

While I am all in favor of using 2D codes for marketing and advertising purposes, the real question, as it pertains to using codes as a part of a job search strategy, is whether or not recruiters, human resource personnel or hiring managers will have the interest and wherewithal to scan someone's code. In my mind, they won't. Not when you hear that people spend less than 60 seconds reviewing a resume and/or cover letter.
