New Monster App Ties Facebook to Job Search

I'm eager to see how Be Known behaves. By that I mean, a "glitch" during my initial signup stopped my import of info from LinkedIn, which made me wonder, so is there a tiff between the two?? and if so, does it matter to me as a job seeker/user?? Time will tell, I guess.

I'd also like to have known before I sent "invites" to my Fb friends what those messages would have said and looked like. I'm hoping I didn't offend anyone. And even better, I'm hoping the invitation was delivered with a gentle nudge, like, hey, Diane is hoping you'll recommend her for a new job!

And finally, part of the "behavior" I'm concerned about is this badges business. It seems a little bit like a game... and I'm of the old school, job-hunting-isn't-a-game way of thinking...

In spite of all these concerns, I believe it's the right idea, and I'm hoping Monster's execution is good.

Great post Miriam! I'm a community manager over at BeKnown and would love to hear any feedback from you or anyone else who has tried the app - your feedback will go directly back to Monster and help us in the further development of the app!
