This is great advice. I especially love the part about finding what energizes you. If you're going to make a career change, it will be well worth your while to figure yourself out and discover what you really want out of a career.

Great Post. A rough job market may be a motivator to switch careers also. Instead of meeting dead-ends in your job search, it might be a better idea to re-invent yourself and switch career paths. It's never too late to learn something new, change things up a bit and branch out. As a staffing agency, we look for candidates who are taking the time to hone their skills, whether they are new or old.
