These are good questions.
@ Amy: These questions should be asked before you're offered a job. Also, not every manager appreciates questions he/she cannot answer, regardless of the questioner's gender.

I tried this at my first meeting with a company I started working for 5/31/11. And in meetings afterwards too. I guess my being curious made one manager mad, and he let me go 45 days later. Of course, I am a woman in a man's world.
