I would like to read this article about potential career job hunting from this organization. I saw this article that someone posted at Linkedin.

Hello,

I have had over 21 years of IT Consulting experience (Accenture, Deloitte, IBM, Infosys...) in the US. As a consultant, I have been open to travel and have been travelling for all these years and I do not mind travelling.

Lately, I have been thinking ot trying to see if I can get a C-Level executive position in a company (IT or non-IT).

Instead of going through traditional job hunter channels, I was wondring if there are "careen agent" who work with you the rest of you life (at least the working life) and help you get the best value for your time? (smilar to the sports agent for a player or the movie agent for an actor/actoress...)

If so, what is the best way to locate them and where?

Thanks

I hope everyone who reads this will go on to study the Hiring For Hope website: www.hiringforhope.org The site is content-rich and has something for every kind of employment need. I have spent years in the nonprofit arena, and been privileged to know Tegan Acree. This new model for helping people find employment and keep training and adding to their skills is the most helpful practical and creative service idea I've ever seen. I think Hiring for Hope is worthy of recognition at the highest level of human service awards.

Agree that the social media are the new tools very effective for job help in IT medical and sales marketing career.

But for the retail jobs and "blue-collared" jobs the right approach is through referrals and doing a lot of leg work.

Whatever be the online tools the most effective "tools" that you must hone now are your skills (appropriate and at par with the job market) and your network.

Work smartly on these areas to see positive results over time.

Great blog for job seekers. Kudos for Miriam Salpeter. The mention of "Mature workers" technologically challenged is so true. It's also a great opportunity to learn new skills. I am one of the many Hiring for Hope CareerAngels. When I meet 0ne-on-one with each job seeker, one thing they all have in common is fear and low self- esteem. After interviewing each job seeker to help them write a professional resume, they see for the first time in a long time, how very talented they really are. They have the confidence to go out there with a positive attitude and go after that well-deserved job. Hiring for Hope has so many talented teams to help the job seeker and gives them a place to give back through this much needed, wonderful organization! Tegan Acree, Founder of Hiring for Hope, you are truly making a difference in this world. Thank you!
