What to Think About Before Becoming an Entrepreneur
Tweet Share on Facebook December 8, 2011 Comment (2)Within 24 hours I had made two of the biggest leaps of my life: one metaphorical, the other literal. On Friday, I decided to leave behind my job as a project manager at a company I loved to pursue my own social enterprise, StartSomeGood.com. The following morning I jumped out of a plane—my first time skydiving. Two huge bounds, but only one comes with a parachute.

How to Brand Yourself for the Job Hunt
Tweet Share on Facebook December 6, 2011 Comment (16)Branding yourself during a job hunt is similar to branding a product. You are, in a sense, selling yourself as the product. Except it’s your next employer you want to market to rather than consumers. To do that, you need to be known as an expert in your field. Entrepreneurship Is Like Skydiving
Tweet Share on Facebook December 1, 2011 Comment (1)“You must be crazy to jump out of planes all the time.”
“You must be crazy to quit your awesome job at a ridiculously awesome agency to start your own business.”
Two quotes pertaining to two areas of my life that I’ve recently started to combine into one. My name is Sydney, and I am a skydiver slash entrepreneur. It sounds like we should be sitting in a circle at a meeting somewhere. But all joking aside, the similarities between skydiving and entrepreneurship are freaky sometimes.
